Formed in June 1977, MAAC is an affiliate of the Bermuda National Athletics Association. MAAC's goal is to offer to its members all the pursuits normally covered by a running club, regardless of age or athletic ability, with an emphasis on middle & long distance. In addition, the club also offers a social aspect for it's members.
The club organises a number of running and social events during the year. Running events include a number of BNAA sanctioned road races, a club championship series, a Junior series, a track night during the winter months and a fun Christmas turkey trot. The club also co-ordinates an annual trip to the New York City Marathon (which takes place in November each year) and receives entry forms to the Boston Marathon (which takes place in April each year).
The club also produces a weekly email bulletin and maintains this website.
